Animals in Art

This week, I read "Animals in Art", series of Oxford Read and Discover.

There are many kinds of animals in art all around the world. About 15,000 years ago, people lived in caves without paper, so they painted animals on the walls of their caves. The first cave painting is in Spain. In the Nazca Desert in Peru, we can see animals in a plane. The painting was drawn about 2,000 years ago. Some animals in art are as sculpture. These are bigger than what it is, and sometimes have unique paintings and shapes like toy. Also, we can see animals on television, or look at photos of animals in books or on the Internet, and they often wears clothes. These are unrealistic. At last, there are lots of stories and pictures of animals like dragons and unicorns, which are not real.

In conclusion, there are many kinds of animals as art more than I expected. Please check this book and find your favorite one.
